Our Review:

OutEverywhere.com is a fun gay dating and friendship site with a global reach. It's free to sign up for a 28 day trial membership and get access to all the features paid members receive. Read on for more details.

It's a good idea to click on the site tour from the homepage, which gives you a basic idea about what's on offer. You'll find thousands of profiles on the site, though the exact number is not specified; not that you can put too much stock in numbers sometimes as many seem to join for the free trial and then discontinue. However, some members have more than 100 photos on their profile, the tools for photo uploading and sharing being advanced in comparison to other sites, including cropping, resizing and creating album features. However at the time of this review the site wasn't exactly buzzing, with just 239 online.  You'll find guys and gals here, spread right across the planet but your chances of hooking up with somebody in real life are somewhat limited in comparison to other sites. However, if you're satisfied with meeting people from exotic locations online, then fine. 

There are thousands of profiles to browse through; you'll find a personal introduction with name, location. photos and key words, with multiple choice options and biographical details written by members. However, fully completed profiles are not always in abundance. You can also embed videos into your profile, link to friend networks, track visitors to your profile and the profiles of others, set up polls to gage other members' opinions, check out events in which members are interested and read their latest forum postings, all via their profile. There are a few search options to pinpoint members; you can search for people by their distance from your location, search for people in a specific location (e.g. if you're traveling) and search for events, discussions and photos, not simply profiles. It's therefore unlike the standard profile searches you get on most sites. You can also save searches and filter search results by age, gender and interests.

A number of options exist for connecting with other members, with standard email being the default. Conveniently, you get unlimited message storage so your inbox will never be full, preventing you from getting more mail. You can also contact a member via their profile and request chat using real time IM (Out Messenger) and to share photos. You can organize mail into different folders, sort by subject and date and get personal email notifications when you get new OutEverywhere mail. You can also connect to other members by sending a 'thumbs-up' flirt or ecard. You can also build up lists of contacts, including favorite members, trusted contacts and friends. So there are quite a few ways to connect and manage your contacts. Forums and 'info broadcasts' (where you send short messages from your cell phone to all members online at that time) also help you to get in touch with others. 

If you remain a member after the 28 day trial finishes, you get the same features but have to pay a subscription. If you enjoy chatting online then it's great and reasonable value for money, though there are more vibrant sites with a greater online presence to check out such as www.GayRomeo.com. However, the social events advertised on the site give you the chance to attend events and meet other members. You can also create your own event, advertise it here and send out invitations and generate discussion forums, even if it's just inviting people round to your bedsit for an I Love Lucy marathon (nobody will come though). OutEverywhere.com is a great site for meeting and chatting with gay guys from across the world, with plenty of features to enhance your experience. However, a relatively small online and thinly-spread membership base cut your chances of hooking up in real life unless you live in a big city or are prepared to make a trip.
