Avoid becoming a paying subscriber at all costs. It is reassuring to read that many others users negative experiences of this website have been similar to my own.
If even only one person fails to subscribe to full membership of this site, and denies them the due revenue accordingly based on what I have written on here, it will have been worth it.
Have been a paying subscriber for a number of years on and off. Used to be free but they started charging in last few years. Like many other contributors on here, was constantly getting my account suspended for various reasons and having to spend weeks of emails to and fro to try and arguing the toss' trying to get it reinstated. When you do query a suspension they takes weeks to reply but quite happily suspend your account in an instant, leaving you in limbo and wondering WTF is it this time?
In the past the suspensions have related to issues such as querying the legitimacy of profile photos, but on one occasion I got to find out that they claimed I had been using the site to promote professional escort services, which is absolutely preposterous. I use it for exactly the same purpose that most other users do - i.e best places to hook up for sex. I spent weeks arguing that one with them before they conceded that had got it wrong and they reinstated my account, but with the caveat that they had a duty to investigate, but I didn't even get any credit for the weeks lost due to no fault of my own and their error, not mine.
To be fair, on a one or two occasions the suspensions were justified as I had used photos (not facial or of other people, but caricatures or cartoons) but I was just told to remove the photos and my account was then reinstated soon thereafter. That was then the end of that, or so I thought. For this reason, even though they encourage you to include a profile photo, it is best not to as it only causes problems and results in your account being suspended time and time again, as I will set out below.
On the latest occasion, my account again got suspended without warning after months of innocuous activity on my part and abiding by the rules and uploading more (genuine) photos on my account. After two months of emails to and fro and waiting anything up to two or three weeks for a reply, this time I was accused of setting up multiple duplicate accounts in contravention of their rules, which again was absolutely preposterous. I had no need to do this, as the one main account is adequate for what I subscribed to the site for - i.e check out best venues to cruise, and level of activity at each etc.
They claimed that their tracking and security systems had detected that photos and text on my main account had been linked to these other alleged duplicate accounts that I had set and had all been tracked back to the same user IP address and that it could only have been me and no one else. They dismissed and denied the fact that anyone using the site can 'copy' and 'cut and paste' text and photos from one account and use them on their own, which of course is not true, as anyone can 'cut and paste' from one account to another, or even manually type out text from one person's account and use it on their own.
They then brought up the account being linked to escort agencies all over again, as well as the using of profile photos that were not mine, even though this had all been settled before and my account reinstated and the 'slate wiped clean'. They also dismissed my explanation that the only way my account could be linked to commercial escort agencies was due to the numerous spam messages I kept getting from them, which I did even not reply to.
They also now claimed that their security systems had been updated and was now able to track retrospectively so called illegitimate activity on my account relating to uploaded photos and commercial escort agencies which they said it had not been able to do before, but were adamant that that I had been doing this and that their systems were accurate, which of course they were not as their allegations are totally preposterous and untrue. However, after wasting hours and days of my life which I will never get back, I have finally given up.
Their customer service is appalling. This site really does not investigating by Trading Standards/Consumer Protection Groups for the way it operates.
Finally, for a website that makes it money out of promoting the (illegal) activity of men having sex with other men in public toilets etc, it is also unbelievably puritanical in terms of it's censorship over user contributions.
DO NOT PAY TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SITE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
HOWEVER: it is possible to sign up again using a new user name and email address and get the first five days free full membership, plus another five if you upload a photo. Others on here have also suggested alternative legal ways of getting 12 months free full membership. Use it!
 In summary, I would not recommend Squirt to a friend.
